丹麻石Danma Stones

丹麻石，因产自昆仑山东麓的青海省湟中县丹麻乡而得名。丹麻石属沉积岩类，主要矿物成分为方解石、褐铁矿、白云石及黏土等丹麻石质地细腻莹洁，因其富含铁元素而多呈黄色，其纹理色泽有金黄、浅黄、土黄、棕、褐、黑、白等。由于各种组合有规律的沉积，又经漫长地质年代的挤压、改造，丹麻石形成了各种各样的美丽纹理，常见的有脉状、带状、波纹状、点簇状、斑簇状等等，花团锦簇，美不胜收。

Due to regular sediments of various combinations and long years of pressing and modifcation, various beautiful grains were formed on Danma Stones. Some othe commonly seen grains include veins,belts, ripples, point clusters and dotclusters, etc. In addition, natural grains penetrate the whole body of Danma stone.If you cut any Danma stone, you could see beautiful grains on any layer of the stone. The grains usually appearas continuous patterns, like clusters of flowers, overlapping clouds and surging waves.

而且丹麻石的天然纹理布满整个石体。剖开任何一块丹麻石，在任何一个层面上，都可见到美丽的纹理，一般是以连续纹样出现，如团团簇簇的花、层层叠叠的云、连续不断的浪等等。

Danma Stones are named after their place of origin in Danma Township,Huangzhong County, Qinghai Province,which is located in the east of the Kunlun Mountain. Danma Stones belong to these dimentary rock family, whose main ingredients are calcite, limonite, dolomiteand clay. The texture is exquisite and bright. Because of the rich ferric element,the stones show yellow color while the grains show yellow, light yellow, golden yellow, brown, black and white colors,etc.
